# Email Lesson 00: The New Era Of AI Design

## Lesson

AI makes output cheaper, but it makes taste, craft, judgment, context, and responsibility more important.

The obvious change with AI is speed.

It is easier to produce a draft, a screen, a flow, a bit of code, a critique, or a prototype.

That is useful.

But cheaper output creates a new problem: you now have more things to judge.

More options. More plausible directions. More almost-right screens. More confident text. More code that may work but does not belong.

So the bottleneck moves.

Before, the bottleneck was often production.

Now the bottleneck is judgment.

That is why taste cannot stay only in your head. It needs to become usable context: examples, rules, critique standards, source material, and notes about what good means for the product.
